The list of recipes for fighting excess weight also includes a beer diet. Its developers claim that beer contains a minimum of calories and sugar.

Theoretically, you can lose weight and enjoy it, but don’t get too excited too soon – listen to what the experts say.

Nutritionist Oleg Iryshkin told Channel Five whether it is possible to lose weight with the help of a beer diet.

The beer diet does not promote weight loss, and the main reason for this is the high-calorie snacks.

The doctor calls claims that drinking beer leads to “rapid weight loss” implausible.

Even the fact that beer has fewer calories and sugar does not mean that drinking it will help you lose weight faster.

Iryshkin does not recommend considering beer as a component of any diet.

Firstly, beer itself does not saturate the body; secondly, high-calorie snacks (crackers, chips, etc.) are often consumed with it.

The only drink that can help you lose weight is water.

In the case of beer, you can only lose weight if you give up high-calorie foods.

It is also important to remember that alcohol retains fluid in the body, which leads to weight gain.

Experience shows that people who drink beer on a regular basis have fat deposits, most often in the abdominal cavity, the doctor noted.
