It is generally accepted that during the period of getting rid of excess weight, you can only include healthy and figure-friendly food in your diet.

For example, porridge, boiled chicken breast, vegetables.

In fact, sometimes a person who is losing weight can allow himself something tasty and high-calorie.

Moreover, this approach is precisely the right one.

But completely giving up food that is not considered healthy is a gross mistake.

Before starting a diet, be sure to learn about the 80-20 rule.

The essence of the “80-20” rule

A person's diet should consist of approximately 80 percent healthy foods.

But 20 percent of the food consumed may well be “not the healthiest.”

In other words, even while on a diet, you can eat fried potatoes, French-style meat, or salad dressed with mayonnaise.

The main thing is to maintain moderation and not exceed the maximum daily calorie intake.

If a person losing weight occasionally treats himself to tasty food, he is unlikely to “break down.”

But those who eat only healthy food will sooner or later break the diet. And they will do it very abruptly. Because it is almost impossible to go for weeks without gastronomic pleasures.
