Some people are convinced that low-fat cottage cheese is the healthiest of all the dairy products available in the store, while others, on the contrary, believe that the fattier the cottage cheese, the healthier it is.

Let's try to figure out which cottage cheese is the healthiest.

From the point of view of nutritionist Taisiya Prokopenko, low-fat cottage cheese is not as good as it might seem at first glance.

To prepare it, milk must be skimmed before fermentation. During this process, some of the fat-soluble vitamins are lost.

And the taste of such a product is quite specific - some people don’t like it at all.

If you still decide to include low-fat cottage cheese in your menu, add, for example, avocado to your plate - this way you can “get” the necessary amount of fats, although fats of plant origin are not able to cover the deficit of animal fats.

But cottage cheese with 9% fat content does an excellent job of satisfying the need for animal fats and helps avoid the feeling of hunger.

Thanks to its composition, the body receives everything it needs to protect itself from hormonal imbalances and many diseases.

Which cottage cheese to choose? It depends on what goal you are pursuing. If you want to lose weight, then obviously low-fat cottage cheese contains fewer calories. If you want to gain muscle mass, it will be better if you eat high-fat cottage cheese.
