Nutritionists unanimously sing the praises of avocados and talk about how just one fruit can solve a host of health problems.

But, as we know, every coin has two sides. Is it worth trying this truth on in relation to avocado?

A team of scientists from the Penn State Department of Nutritional Sciences conducted research to determine the impact of daily avocado consumption on diet quality.

The results of the work were published by Medicalxpress.

A total of 1,008 volunteers were involved in the work.

Research Results

The participants were not required to do much: eat one avocado a day, while following a previously prescribed diet.

In particular, it was proposed to use the pulp of the fruit as a substitute for a number of harmful or unhealthy products.

The focus was on foods high in "refined grains and sodium."

It turned out that such a recommendation helps reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases.

The improvements noted by experts allow us to speak about an increase in the quality of the diet, strengthening of health and prolongation of life.
