In the morning, when you need to quickly get ready and get down to business, a hearty and healthy breakfast is important to get a boost of energy.
Many people cook eggs in the morning. The process is simple, and the product can easily be called healthy and filling.
In addition, it goes well with various additional components: sausages, vegetables or sandwiches.
But what can you replace eggs with if you want to diversify your diet and make it no less filling and healthy?
This question was answered by German scientists who conducted a study involving volunteers.
Participants were divided into several groups. One of them had to replace meat with whole grains or cereals, eggs with nuts, and add olive oil to food instead of butter. Other participants stuck to their usual diet.
As a result, it turned out that this type of diet helped reduce the risk of developing heart and vascular diseases and diabetes.
Doctors noted that they do not urge people to completely exclude eggs from their diet. It is important to keep in mind that the diet should be balanced and varied.
The corresponding findings of German specialists were published in the European Association for the Study of Diabetes ( EASD ).
