Correctly selected spices can easily make any dish more delicious and aromatic.

But not all of them are good for health, especially for the health of older people.

Nutritionist Evgeny Arzamastsev spoke with representatives of the publication “ Moscow 24 ” in more detail about which spices pensioners should not consume.

As the specialist noted, it is advisable to avoid excessive amounts of black and red pepper, otherwise inflammation and gastrointestinal problems may occur.

You should also reduce the amount of salt, which retains water in the body and has a negative impact on the functioning of the heart and kidneys.

The choice of spices must be approached responsibly.

The seasoning should consist only of natural ingredients.

If a packet of spices contains sodium glutamate, it is advisable for an elderly person to avoid buying it, otherwise there will be an increased load on the nervous system and heart. Fluid retention in the body is also possible.
