The fast will last until Easter. You really need to cut back on food until that day, but not to the detriment of your health.

The diet should still be correct and balanced.

Don't skip full meals. There is a risk that you will feel a sudden feeling of hunger, which can eventually lead to overeating.

Nutritionist Antonina Starodubova provided more details, RIA Novosti reports.

She noted that it is important to have fruits and vegetables in the daily menu. You need to eat at least 400 grams of them.

You should also add nuts to get a dose of plant protein. A small handful (up to 30 grams) is enough.

You can't skip fish days, and you shouldn't give up whole grain bread and unrefined cereals. In the latter case, we are talking about buckwheat, oatmeal, millet. You can also add durum pasta.

Cold-pressed vegetable oils are suitable as a source of unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. It is advisable to add them to ready-made dishes without heating.
