In a new study, scientists examined how coffee consumption affects adipose tissue.

An experiment was conducted with volunteers aged 55 to 75 years who were concerned about extra pounds.

The scientists analyzed the amount of caffeine they consumed. It is worth adding that some of the subjects preferred increased amounts of caffeine during the experiment.

In the end, the researchers selected 1,483 participants who had a relatively low average caffeine intake. As soon as they increased their caffeine intake to the average level, they lost weight and had a smaller amount of body fat.

The corresponding publication was published in Clinical Nutrition.
