According to legend, this salad was one of the favorite dishes of Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev, General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee from 1964 to 1992.

It is very easy to believe that the Soviet statesman was very fond of the “Kremlin khryapa”.

After all, the dish is really incredibly appetizing. At the same time, there is nothing complicated in its preparation.

The recipe for a delicious salad was recalled by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova .

Recipe for the salad "Kremlin cartilage"

First, prepare a clean, deep container: you will send the chopped ingredients there.

Shred a kilo of white cabbage, grate two carrots and one beetroot, cut two onions into thin half rings.

Mix the vegetable mixture well and pour in the hot marinade.

The latter is prepared as follows: in a saucepan, mix plain water (3 cups), sunflower oil (0.75 cups), nine percent vinegar (half a cup), salt (1 tablespoon), granulated sugar (10 teaspoons). This liquid must be heated.

Wait until the marinated vegetable mass cools down and transfer it into glass jars. Put the containers in the refrigerator. In a couple of days, the delicious salad will be ready to eat.
