In a hurry, some housewives often freeze a large lump of food in the freezer.
But, as Yulia Arkhipova, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, explained, this is not the best or most convenient option.
The first reason is that when cooking, you will have to spend much more time defrosting.
In addition, some of the food may end up back in the freezer, which will undoubtedly negatively affect the quality.
If you don't plan to cook everything at once, you should divide the food into portions.
For fruits and vegetables, it is more convenient to first freeze them on a baking sheet or cutting board in a single layer, and then transfer them to an airtight bag.
This way, each fruit will be frozen separately, and you will be able to take only the required amount of products at the right time.
Finally, we will share one more piece of advice: ice cube trays are convenient for freezing liquids. This way you can store broths, drinks, tomato paste and sauces in small portions. After freezing, the cubes can be transferred to a bag.
