Many gourmets know about a dish called “French meat”.
But only a few people know about the existence of “French-style zucchini”.
It’s a pity that this dish is not popular, because in terms of taste it is in no way inferior to meat with potatoes and cheese.
At the same time, preparing French-style zucchini is very simple.
They are also quite healthy, because they do not use a harmful ingredient - mayonnaise.
The recipe for an interesting but little-known dish was shared by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova .
Take the washed zucchini and cut it into thin rings.
Place the resulting slices in a deep container. Salt, pepper and mix them well.
Transfer the vegetables to a baking dish. The latter should be greased with vegetable oil beforehand.
Cover the sliced zucchini with a layer of sour cream. Three tablespoons should be enough.
The next layer is tomato, sliced into circles.
The resulting “structure” should be sprinkled with 50 grams of grated cheese.
Place the filled baking dish in the oven for about half an hour. The dish should be cooked at 190 degrees.
A sign of readiness is the transformation of the soft and “pale” cheese into a ruddy crust.
