How to cook delicious and juicy red fish on coals: an excellent replacement for shashlik

Shashlik made from meat or poultry is good in any form, but its health benefits cannot be compared to fish.

The only thing tastier than fish cooked on coals is red fish.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook red fish on coals.

You will need:

  • trout - 2 kg;
  • lemon - 1 pc.;
  • olive oil - 50 ml;
  • rosemary (sprigs) to taste;
  • pepper (ground black) to taste;
  • salt to taste.

How to cook

1. The fish needs to be cleaned, the entrails, head, fins and tail removed.

2. The prepared carcass is cut into steaks 2-3 cm thick.

3. Prepare the marinade by mixing lemon juice, oil and prepared spices.

4. Place the steaks in a bowl, pour in the marinade, cover and put in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

5. Before cooking, brush the grill with oil, place the steaks on it and bake on the coals. Serve with fresh vegetables and herbs. Enjoy!
