It is not enough to just choose the perfect lard, you also need to salt it deliciously. There are many recipes.

Among the dry methods, in cold or hot brine, there are correct and tasty ones.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told about one of such recipes.

You will need:

  • lard - 500 gr;
  • water - 1 l;
  • pepper - 15 peas;
  • pepper (hot) - 10 g;
  • garlic - 10 cloves;
  • bay leaf - 3 pcs.;
  • salt - 120 gr.

How to cook

1. Cut the lard into small pieces.

2. Cut the garlic into thin slices.

3. Place the lard in a clean jar, and when it is full, add peppercorns, garlic and bay leaf.

4. Bring the water to a boil, add salt, ground pepper, stir and pour in the lard, then close the jar with a lid.

The lard in the jar can stand at room temperature for 5-7 days. After that, the brine is drained, the lard is allowed to dry and put in the refrigerator. Enjoy your meal!
