The base should be smoked pork ribs.

If you don’t have this ingredient on hand, smoked chicken, brisket, or an assortment of different types of sausages will do.

Don't forget about spices: turmeric, paprika, garlic, parsley root and other spices are ideal for pea soup.

Add seasonings 10 minutes before cooking, then simmer the soup under a closed lid.

To “connect” all the ingredients of the dish together, throw a piece of butter into the pan.
