The Best Thin Pancake Recipe: Getting Ready for Maslenitsa

Maslenitsa is just around the corner, so it’s time to prepare for the upcoming holiday and look for the perfect recipe for the main Maslenitsa dish – pancakes.

The expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova , also decided to make her contribution, sharing a recipe for delicious thin pancakes with milk.

To prepare them you will need:

  • 500 ml milk;
  • 200 grams of wheat flour;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil;
  • 1.5 tablespoons of sugar;
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt.

First, break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar and salt, then beat it all with a hand whisk. Then pour in some milk and mix.

Add the previously sifted wheat flour to the egg-milk mixture. Mix everything until a thick, homogeneous mass is obtained. Then pour in the remaining milk and mix again until homogeneous.

Add sunflower oil to the dough and mix. Leave the dough to stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Heat a frying pan, grease it with a little sunflower oil, and fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
