Some people don't really like pickles from a barrel, as they have a specific aroma and taste.
In this case, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, advises replacing them with pickled vegetables.
The latter, unlike barrel-type ones, do not have the slightly sour or “moldy” smell of fermented brine.
But if you do not agree to such a replacement, try to get rid of such a nuisance.
Luckily, this is quite easy to do.
As experienced housewives claim, all you need to do is put the barrel cucumbers in boiling water and let them boil for about 2-3 minutes.
Then remove the cucumbers from the boiling water and let them cool completely.
After that, you can use them in any way you like – cook solyanka, rassolnik, make salads or appetizers, or even just eat them.
