How to Quickly Pickle Onions: A Great Addition to Meat and Salad

Onion is a vegetable that has a specific smell and taste. Therefore, some people prefer to refuse such an additive in dishes. But you can make its taste soft thanks to the marinade.

This appetizer will be a great table decoration and can be safely added to various dishes.

Moreover, the process of preparing pickled onions is very simple.

Ingredients

For 4 onions it will be enough to take:

  • sugar - 50 g;
  • salt - 1/2 tsp;
  • black peppercorns - 5 pcs.;
  • water - 200 ml;
  • table vinegar - 60 ml.

Cooking process

The onion should be cut into rings and then put into a container. Pepper should be added to it.

Next, you need to dissolve sugar and salt in water, boil it, and then add vinegar. Pour the hot marinade over the onion and cover it tightly with a lid.

The cooled product can be served or put in the refrigerator.

It is worth adding that the onion is marinated for about an hour, and can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks.
