What to add to the dough for brushwood so that the baked goods turn out really crispy: an “adult” ingredient

Sweet and light baked goods – brushwood – are associated with childhood for many.

You can enjoy truly crispy cookies if you prepare them according to the recipe in this article.

To do this, you will need about 30 minutes of free time and the ingredients from the list below:

  • 300 g flour;
  • 2 chicken eggs;
  • 50 ml milk;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 1.2 teaspoons of salt;
  • 1 tablespoon sugar;
  • 50 ml sunflower oil;
  • powdered sugar – to taste.

So, break the eggs into a bowl, pour in the sugar, add milk and butter (don't forget the salt) and mix thoroughly using a whisk.

Now you need to put the flour into the bowl, after which you can knead a homogeneous dough.

While the vegetable oil, poured into a deep frying pan, saucepan or saucepan, is heating up, roll out the resulting dough into a thin flatbread.

Cut the dough into small strips, bending each one to achieve the traditional хворост shape.

Lower the future хворост into the oil one by one, and after it browns, place it on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil. All that's left is to sprinkle the pastry with powdered sugar, and you can call your family to the dinner table.

But there is no need to worry about strong alcohol – the alcohol will evaporate during frying.
