Experienced cooks probably know many methods that will come to the rescue if there is a need to salt mackerel.

Today we will share another option for which you don’t even need to dirty the dishes.

Interested? Well, stock up on a fish carcass weighing about 500 g and get started.

The mackerel needs to be gutted, the fins, tail and head removed.

After this, find a regular plastic bag and pour into it 1 tablespoon of salt (without a slide) and 1 teaspoon of sugar.

By the way, if you are afraid that the contents of the bag will leak, you can take two bags to be on the safe side.

Now put the fish into the same bag and rub it with a mixture of salt and sugar on all sides, including the inside.

If you wish, you can add spices, for example, black pepper, bay leaf or coriander.

All that remains is to tie the neck of the bag and put it in the refrigerator for a day.
