Usually, when pickled, cucumbers change color and become duller.
But one simple life hack will help preserve the appetizing color of the fruit, as well as make them more crispy.
The marinade recipe itself does not matter.
The procedure must be done with cucumbers before pickling.
First, you need to put the fruits in a container and then scald them with salted boiling water (brine).
The solution is very easy to prepare: take 500 grams of salt per 10 liters of clean water. If there are not many cucumbers, the proportions can be reduced.
Immediately after the procedure, the cucumbers should be placed in ice water. It is advisable to add ice to it if you want the manipulation to be more effective.
Due to the temperature difference, the fruits will retain their bright color, become more crispy and appetizing. Such scalding will not affect the taste.
After this, you can move on to the classic procedure of salting vegetables for the winter.
