Mayonnaise, even homemade, is far from being considered a healthy food. But there is a recipe that allows you to make an exceptionally healthy sauce.
If you need to control your weight or just don't want to eat junk food, head to the store for an avocado.
To choose a ripe avocado, touch the fruit - it should be moderately soft and definitely not hard as a rock. Do not take a very soft fruit - it will quickly spoil.
The skin should be a rich dark green color, possibly with a purple or black tint.
If the fruit is unripe, just put it in a paper bag with a banana or apple. It will ripen.
To make avocado sauce, remove the pit, skin and cut the fruit into cubes.
Place it in a blender bowl, add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
It may not taste like store-bought mayonnaise, but its ingredients will definitely be healthier.
