A small amount of this viscous liquid should be poured into the container immediately after the water has come to a boil.

The presence of an oil component will reduce the risk of the grains sticking together.

Once the heat treatment is complete, the rice porridge will be crumbly. Most likely, there will not be a single hint of stickiness or glutinosity.

But you need to understand that adding vegetable oil does not guarantee that the dish will be crumbly. Do not forget about such an important preliminary step as rinsing the rice: this procedure removes excess starch, which is what causes sticking.

It is also important to remember the correct ratio of cereal to water (usually 2 to 1 in favor of liquid, but this depends on the type of rice).
