Of all the types of inexpensive sea fish full of healthy fish oil, nutritionists single out herring and mackerel.
The latter often appears on sale fresh-frozen. It is bought for home salting and not only. This is, perhaps, the easiest way to cook fish quickly and deliciously.
The carcass needs to be washed, gutted, the head, fins and tail removed, and then cut into pieces. If desired, you can immediately make a fillet.
Then place the mixture in an enamel bowl, sprinkle with a mixture of salt, coriander, pepper and put in the refrigerator for 12 hours, covered with a lid.
After the fish is salted, chop the onion, mix it with sugar, vinegar and marinate for an hour.
Rinse the mackerel, add vegetable oil to taste, onion marinade with onion. Keep the fish in the refrigerator for a few more hours, after which you can serve it.
Bon appetit!
