Children up to a certain age try everything with their teeth, completely unaware of any hidden threat or even danger.

Most often, such a picture can be observed in the sandbox, where a child can consciously or with the help of his friends eat his fill of sand cakes or other simple food.

Experts have explained the dangers of such pranks and what to do after a walk.

Children. Sand. Danger.

1. Intestinal infections are the first thing that comes to mind. The scientific name for sandpiper disease is toxocariasis.

Open sandboxes, where animal feces and bird droppings may end up, add fuel to the fire.

2. If the excrement of an infected cat ends up in the sand, the chances of contracting toxoplasmosis increase significantly.

3. And one more problem is enterobiasis. But the disease is transmitted from person to person.

In a warm and dry environment, infection is virtually impossible.

Prevention

If the child has eaten sand, do not rush to get pills or suspensions for parasites. These drugs are prescribed by a doctor and only after appropriate tests.

The drugs are toxic and have side effects.

Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the baby's health. If nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain or upset stomach, deterioration of health and an increase in body temperature occur, you should consult a doctor.

Earlier we told you why you shouldn’t leave your child in a closed car in the summer.
