Gymnastics classes for babies: what rules should a mother know

Conducting gymnastics classes with a child does not require much effort or special equipment. All you need is a little free time.

And in order for the child to feel comfortable and for the exercises to bring maximum benefit to his development, a few simple rules should be followed.

Classes should be conducted only if the child is in absolute health and there are no medical contraindications for physical activity.

Before you start the class, make sure the room is well ventilated. If the air temperature after ventilation is below 22 degrees Celsius, wait until it returns to normal.

Prepare a suitable place for the exercises – a flat and stable surface, such as a sturdy table. Avoid doing exercises on a soft surface, such as a bed or sofa, as this can be uncomfortable and even unsafe.

You can start doing gymnastics after you cover the surface with a clean diaper.

Undress your baby or dress him in light clothing that will not restrict his movements and will not cause him to overheat during the massage.

Choose the right time for gymnastics - do not do it immediately after feeding or before bedtime.

During the exercises, pay attention to the child's signals. If he does not like any exercise, do not insist on continuing it. You should also stop the exercise if the child is tired.

Finally, and most importantly, be sure to consult your doctor if you have any questions before starting any exercise. If you are unsure about how to do an exercise, find a video that shows it in detail.
