How to Praise Your Child Correctly: Use These 3 Phrases

How do parents usually praise their child? They simply tell the baby "well done".

But this is clearly not enough. The word has almost no meaning for the baby. And over time, its pronunciation by parents begins to be perceived by the child as a meaningless "ritual".

As a result, the child loses motivation and stops trying.

How to properly approve of the actions of a son or daughter? There is an important rule: you need to explain to the child what exactly you are praising him for.

To achieve the desired result, parents must use certain phrases.

"Thank you, you did what we asked you to do."

If a child has fulfilled some request, then the baby, first of all, must be thanked.

Secondly, it should be noted that the child did everything exactly as his mom and dad asked him to.

If these conditions are met, the child will understand how to act correctly and will become more obedient.

"It was difficult, but you did it!"

If your child has completed some difficult task, don’t limit yourself to the word “well done.”

Be sure to emphasize that you are pleasantly surprised by your child's abilities.

"You showed courage/diligence/politeness"

It is also advisable to pay attention to the positive qualities demonstrated by the child in certain situations.

In this case, the baby will become much more self-confident.
