Perhaps all children without exception love candies, cakes, buns, bars and other sweets.
This addiction can turn into a real problem if the child eats nothing but sweets.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, here are some tips to help you change your baby's eating habits.
1. Make the diet varied, but it is not necessary to feed your child broccoli and steamed cutlets - first try to prepare a healthier version of what the child loves, for example, a homemade burger.
Your goal is to ensure that the main meal stops being a punishment for your baby.
2. Cook with your child. If your son or daughter is old enough, let them cut the food, and the little ones can be asked to decorate the dishes by making animal faces out of the cutlets.
3. Buy healthy replacements for your usual sweets – fruit chips or sugar-free marshmallows.
4. Remove sweets from easy access. Instead of a bowl of candies, have a basket of fruit on the table.
5. Don't use sweets to reward or punish your child. This is the only way you can reduce the "value" of the candy.
6. If it is difficult to resist children's persuasion in the store, do not take the child with you to the supermarket at first. Later, when the situation begins to normalize, you can offer the child to choose one sweet for himself.
7. Explain to your child that you are not punishing him by depriving him of sweets, but that you are caring for him and showing your love. And to help new habits take root faster, show him your own example.
