The quality of your night's rest affects a lot - physical and mental health. The problem of poor sleep can be solved with the help of medications or diet.
But American scientists have proposed the simplest way to solve this problem.
Researchers at the University of Southern Mississippi have concluded that morning walks have a positive effect on the quality of sleep at night.
The results of the work were published in the scientific journal Journal of Health Psychology.
The experiment lasted for 70 days and involved more than a hundred people aged 18 to 80 years.
Volunteers were first surveyed, asking questions about the quality and quantity of their night's sleep, as well as the amount of time spent in the sun.
Oddly enough, it was the morning sunlight that determined the quality of night rest.
According to the data obtained, walking outside in the morning led to respondents falling asleep faster in the evening.
In addition, the sleep was deeper and longer.
It was also possible to find out that a short walk is enough to improve the quality of sleep.
It is believed that this habit helps to normalize circadian rhythms and the production of the hormone melatonin.
