That's why people drink coffee in the morning or at work: to perk up and get down to business with renewed strength and attention.

Everyone knows that the invigorating effect is temporary, so the procedure has to be repeated. But experts have a good reason to remind us about the existence of a norm for coffee consumption.

Caffeine norm

Adults should not consume more than 400 mg of caffeine per day.

It is important to remember that the substance is found not only in coffee, but also in tea – black and green.

Pregnant women should not exceed the norm of 200 mg at all.

Espresso contains 35-40 mg of caffeine per 30 ml of drink.

Instant coffee contains about 95 mg of caffeine, and classic black coffee contains up to 120 mg of caffeine per cup.

One cup of green tea contains approximately 35-75 mg of caffeine, and black tea contains up to 90 mg.

One can of energy drink contains 30-80 mg of caffeine, and milk and dark chocolate contain 10 to 25 mg of caffeine.

Why coffee doesn't invigorate

The reason is the amount of caffeine-containing products consumed. The more of them, the worse the invigorating effect.

If you increase the dosage, you will no longer be able to avoid health problems. Heart problems, headaches and other troubles will appear.

What to do

To make coffee invigorating again, the best option is to give it up or reduce your caffeine intake.

In just a few weeks you will be able to see the results.

It is also important to remember that the invigorating effect of the drink is lost due to the addition of sugar. Therefore, it is better to drink unsweetened coffee.
