On New Year's Eve, even fans of a healthy lifestyle allow themselves an unhealthy salad or a glass of champagne.

But in everything one must remember about moderation.

If you overindulge in unhealthy food and alcohol, you may end up with “holiday heart syndrome.”

But this disease may seem cheerful only in name. In reality, everything is much sadder. As a result, serious health problems are possible.

Doctor of Medical Sciences Oksana Drapkina shared simple rules for a safe feast to prevent health problems.

KP.RU writes about this in more detail.

As the specialist noted, on a holiday, you shouldn't starve before the feast. It's important to have breakfast and lunch so as not to overeat in the evening.

The situation is aggravated by large doses of caffeine, alcohol, and an abundance of fatty, salty foods. Therefore, it is better to refuse them.

In addition, you need to move more. Serious loads are contraindicated. You should avoid lifting heavy objects and bending.

Stress can also worsen the condition. If something is troubling you, it is better to take a walk in the fresh air, sort out presents or watch your favorite movie.

You shouldn't overdo it with medications. At the same time, it's important not to bring yourself to a state where you might need them. If necessary, it's better to contact specialists.

Earlier we talked about how to avoid overdrinking at the holiday table.
