Nutritionist dispels popular myth about olive oil's superiority over sunflower oil

But nutritionist Andrey Kabanov, in a conversation with Lenta.ru , noted that in fact all vegetable oils are beneficial for the human body.

They lead to a decrease in “bad” cholesterol and reduce the likelihood of developing heart and vascular diseases.

At the same time, as Kabanov noted, a person receives greater benefits from a balanced consumption of such products.

Therefore, both products can be safely used during cooking.

The nutritionist spoke in more detail about sunflower oil.

He recalled that this product contains many vitamins, the antioxidant vitamin E, and the oil is also saturated with omega-6 fatty polyunsaturated acids.

By comparison, olive oil is high in monounsaturated omega-9s.
