Experts from Germany have stated that a closed window at night helps reduce stress, which prevents an increase in “bad” cholesterol in the blood.
The whole point is that the human brain is too sensitive to night sounds.
As a result, a person cannot recover normally overnight, his body experiences stress, which subsequently leads to increased cholesterol and problems with blood pressure.
The authors of the work recommend sleeping with the windows closed even in the summer, especially if the home is near busy highways.
But why does the human brain react to night sounds this way? It's simple.
As scientists explained, the whole point is that this is a legacy of ancestors who perceived noise at night as a signal of danger.
