TV doctor Elena Malysheva stated that the risk of the appearance and development of dementia can be reduced.

She shared the details on the “Live Healthy” program on Channel One.

As the specialist explained, much depends on a person’s lifestyle.

The doctor noted that a number of scientific studies have proven that a healthy lifestyle reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

He noted that if you want to be healthy, you need to give up bad habits – smoking and drinking alcohol.

In addition, regular physical activity is important.

According to Malysheva, these habits reduce the risk of dementia by 90 percent in people who are predisposed to the disease.
