Unloading the stomach from high-calorie and fatty foods is a useful activity, provided that the rules of such fasting days are followed. There is no point in living on water today and eating solyanka and shashlik tomorrow.

Nutritionist Svetlana Chernushevich said that using such a tool as a fasting day is suitable for those people who often overload their stomachs with the amount of unhealthy food.

A fasting day involves reducing food. Most often, a cleansing day occurs on one product, it can be cottage cheese, apples or kefir. The advantage of such a system is a feeling of lightness and the absence of kitchen worries.

The negative aspects include the diversity of the diet and a sharp reduction in caloric content. It is possible to go without food for one day, but the regularity of this method will lead the body to stress and imbalance.

Don't expect much from a fasting day and step on the scale every other day. Fat tissue won't magically dissolve in 24 hours. Another mistake during a fasting day is eating everything possible the next day.
