Are you decorating your fridge with dozens of bright magnets from your travels? It's time to find out what this can lead to.

It would seem that a harmless habit can harm not only your equipment, but also your wallet.

It turns out that magnets are more than just cute decor. They pose an invisible threat that manufacturers keep quiet about.

A refrigerator is a complex device that is sensitive to magnetic fields. Modern models are equipped with electronic sensors and control systems that can malfunction due to constant exposure to magnets.

Powerful souvenir magnets or neodymium versions are especially dangerous. They disrupt the operation of sensors responsible for maintaining temperature. As a result, the refrigerator begins to consume more energy, and its wear accelerates several times.

But that's not all. Magnets scratch the surface. Even lightly pulling and shifting souvenirs leaves microcracks on the enamel or stainless steel coating.

Over time, dirt accumulates in damaged areas, bacteria multiply, and the appearance of the equipment deteriorates. Repairing or replacing the door will cost more than all your magnets combined.

Another risk is children's safety. Toddlers love to tear off bright figures and put them in their mouths. Small magnets can be swallowed, which can lead to serious injuries to internal organs. Even large items sometimes fall on feet or become throwing weapons in games.

But the main reason to abandon magnets is energy consumption. Because of their weight, the refrigerator door does not close tightly. Warm air gets inside, forcing the compressor to work harder. The electricity bill increases, and the resource of the equipment is reduced.

Test it out: remove all the magnets and check how much quieter your fridge has become. You'll be surprised how much these little gadgets affect its "health."

What to do if you want to decorate your kitchen? Use stickers, photo frames with suction cups or vinyl stickers. They will not interfere with the operation of the device and will not leave marks. And move the magnets to a metal board attached to the wall. This way you will preserve memories without sacrificing functionality.

By the way, magnetic knife holders are also prohibited. They scratch the surface and create a risk of sharp objects falling. Choose wooden or plastic stands - safe and aesthetically pleasing.

Refrigerator manufacturers do not warn about this, because repairs and sales of new models are their profit. But now you know the truth.

Remove the magnets and give your appliance a chance to live a long life. Your fridge will thank you with quiet operation and low electricity bills.
