Live Christmas trees, as we know, have a limited “lifespan”.
If you want to prolong it, try not to place the tree near a fireplace - real or artificial - or any other heat source.
Even if it seems to you that such a composition looks very harmonious, because of such a neighborhood the fluffy beauty will soon say goodbye to her needles.
Air temperature
Let us repeat: do not leave the tree near a radiator, stove or fireplace. If your apartment has heated floors, try to turn it off in the area where the symbol of Christmas and New Year is located.
Watering a tree
If you cannot avoid contact with heat, make sure that the container in which the tree is kept is constantly filled with water. On average, the tree requires about 2 liters of water daily.
Don't be afraid to overdo it with watering - even if you really want to, you're unlikely to succeed.
Speaking about water temperature, for the Christmas tree, as for other plants, it should be cold.
Air humidity
The ideal humidity for a Christmas tree is between 45 and 50%.
If the air is too dry, the tree will soon begin to wither.
To prevent this from happening, use the “services” of a humidifier – it will increase the humidity level and help keep your tree fresh and green until the end of the holidays.
