Nutritionists have given very useful advice ahead of the New Year's feasts. Moreover, the advice is useful both for health and for the wallet.
There is no need to prepare mountains of food so that you don’t have to finish it all later, with the caveat – “otherwise it will spoil.” All this is fraught with health complications and excess weight.
Here are some tips in case you have some leftover Olivier salad after the New Year.
First option
You can put all this into a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees and put the salad in it.
In 15 minutes you will have a very decent casserole with vegetables, meat and egg.
Second option
If the housewife suddenly feels like messing around with dough on January 1 or 2, she can make something similar to pizza.
Simply roll out the dough and use the leftover salad as a filling.
A very important point
Keep in mind that healthy eating experts call salads a perishable food.
Even in the refrigerator, their shelf life is limited to 18 hours maximum.
Vegetable salads (vinaigrette, etc.) can stand for exactly this long, but only without dressing and at a temperature no higher than 6 degrees Celsius.
Salads made from raw vegetables (fruits), meat, poultry, and smoked foods will last the same amount of time.
The same salads, but after dressing, can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 12 hours.
Seafood salads will last the same amount of time.
But if the dish contains canned products (for example, peas) or eggs, as in the case of Olivier, then it is recommended to eat such a salad within 6 hours.
