If your kitchen towels are not hanging on a hook for beauty, but are actively used to remove grease, food scraps and other dirt, the smell coming from them is probably not the most pleasant.
Most often it does not disappear even after washing.
If you want your fabric to smell fresh again (and not just for one day, but for longer), you will have to wash them differently than usual.
The most reliable way to eliminate the smell is to use 9% white vinegar.
The acid leaves no chance for bacteria and mold, which are known to be the cause of the unpleasant “aroma”.
So the next time you're ready to wash your kitchen towels, first boil a large pot of water and dissolve a cup of vinegar in it.
After this, the textile should be placed directly into the pan and continue boiling for about 15 more minutes – this will allow the solution to penetrate the fabric fibers.
When the water has cooled, put the towels and rags in the washing machine and wash them using washing powder.
As a result, the unpleasant smell will go away for a long time and will not bother you for the next few weeks.
By the way, cleaning can also be done using a microwave oven.
In this case, you need to apply dishwashing detergent to a wet cloth and lather it up well.
After this, the towel is placed on a plate and sent to the microwave for 2 minutes, turning on the device at maximum power. At the end, the kitchen product only needs to be rinsed under running water and dried.
