Just imagine: you are preparing for a festive feast, you take a snow-white tablecloth out of the depths of the closet, and it is all covered in stains of unknown origin.
What to do in such a situation?
Of course, you can just spread the textiles on the table as if nothing had happened, and place plates filled with all sorts of dishes on the dirty areas, but in this case you will be on tenterhooks the whole evening, expecting that the dish will move from its designated place and the whole deception will be revealed.
Therefore, it would be better to check the condition of the tablecloth in advance and remove any stains if there are any.
How to do this? You can use the following methods.
Soda
Yellow stains on a light-colored tablecloth can be removed using a baking soda-based mixture.
Take two tablespoons of baking soda, one tablespoon of liquid detergent and one tablespoon of water, mix thoroughly and apply the resulting paste to the stained areas.
Using a clean dish sponge, rub the mixture into the stains, leave for 15 minutes and wash the tablecloth at the highest temperature.
Milk
If your tablecloth is made of linen or cotton fabrics, soak it for 10-12 hours in low-fat milk, preheated to 40 degrees.
After this, wring out the textile and wash as usual using washing powder.
Salt
Salt also dissolves fat very well, but under one condition: it should be applied to stains immediately after they appear.
After 10 minutes, the crystals should be brushed off and a fresh portion of salt should be applied.
If the stains have already dried, add a third of a cup of table salt to the washing powder. Then wash the tablecloth at the maximum temperature allowed for the type of fabric.
