New Year is coming soon. This means it's time to think about tables laden with delicious food and strong drinks.

True, experts advise not to overdo it with the latter. Even on a holiday night.

Moderate amounts of alcohol are certainly acceptable. But here's the thing: how do you know if you've drunk in moderation?

An equal amount of alcohol will have no effect on one person, but for another it can lead to health problems.

How to understand - narcologists will help. They recommend setting the following limit:

– strong alcoholic drinks (vodka, whiskey, rum, etc.) – 150 grams;
– champagne and wine – 200 grams.

Now let's see what the World Health Organization says about this.

Local experts believe that a person will not harm himself if he consumes once a week:

– no more than 150 grams of strong drinks (vodka, cognac, whiskey, rum, etc.);
– no more than 200 grams of dry wine or champagne;
– no more than 0.5 – 1 liter of beer.

Narcologists have called on people to remember that on New Year's Eve the risk of double the load on the liver increases significantly.

And it's not just alcohol that's to blame. In its company, fatty foods hit the liver hard, and even more so, such a process as overeating.
