Are you planning to spend the next weekend at your dacha?

Or are you planning to go on a short trip?

Then before you leave the apartment, don't forget to put a coin in the refrigerator.

This simple action can bring enormous benefits.

Let's figure out why there should be a metal banknote in a refrigeration unit left unattended for several days.

How to Properly Put a Coin in the Refrigerator

First, you need to take a simple glass, fill it with water and put it in the freezer.

Once the contents of the container are frozen, remove the container from the freezer to place the coin on the ice. Return the glass to the freezer.

What to do after returning home

Take the container out of the refrigerator and see where the coin is.

If a metal banknote turns out to be “frozen”, then things are bad.

Most likely, the refrigerator was switched off. Perhaps due to a power outage.

The ice melted, the coin sank in, and then the contents of the glass froze again. As a result, the banknote ended up inside the ice.

But if the coin remains on the ice, then the refrigerator worked fine while you were away: you can safely eat the food stored in the device (unless, of course, the expiration date has expired).

Earlier we told you how to use a regular toothpick to extend the shelf life of food.
