It is not always advisable to buy expensive paste if you need to clean the sole of your iron.
Sometimes you can get by with improvised means - especially since you probably already have them at home, since we are talking about a soft-bristled brush, cotton pads and toothpaste.
Warm up the sole of the iron slightly, setting the temperature to the minimum. The metal surface should be warm enough to touch with your hand without fear of getting burned.
After this, unplug the iron, apply toothpaste to the brush and gently rub the dirty areas on the soleplate.
After treating the stains, proceed to cleaning the entire surface.
Apply a layer of paste to the work surface using the same brush, distribute it evenly over the sole and leave for 30 minutes for the product to take effect.
After half an hour, wash off the remaining cleaning agent by wiping the metal with a cotton pad soaked in warm water.
If toothpaste has clogged the steam vents, remove it with a toothpick or cotton swab.
Then heat the iron and release a small amount of steam, without directing it at the clothes. Along with the steam, the remaining toothpaste that could not be removed manually will come out of the holes.
Previously we talked about whether it is possible to wash crystal in the dishwasher.
