Many people who store bed linen on a shelf in a closet for many years (for example, at a summer house – and there are few other cases) encounter one problem.
After such “spending time”, duvet covers and sheets acquire a persistent musty smell.
You shouldn't even try to get rid of it using "famous" washing powders and fabric conditioners.
Instead, try to solve the problem with a proven folk remedy.
There is no secret - this remedy was actually used back in Soviet times, since we are talking about the simplest vinegar.
The only caveat: after such washing, the laundry should be dried in the open air.
All you need to do is add 200-250 ml of vinegar to the detergent compartment or directly to the drum of the washing machine.
This method is suitable for both cotton and knitwear, as well as other, even delicate fabrics – chiffon, silk, satin, etc.
Earlier we talked about why you should pour soda into your toilet cistern.
