Your own carelessness or the stylist’s carelessness may be the reason why a hair dye stain appears on your favorite T-shirt or jeans.

However, the reason is not important: it is much more important to know about the methods that will help get rid of pollution.

Hydrogen peroxide

It is necessary to generously wet the stain with hydrogen peroxide and leave it for 20 minutes. Then the item should be soaked in cold water and washed in the usual mode using powder and fabric softener.

Hydrogen peroxide is an effective and gentle product that is suitable for removing various stains, including hair dye stains.

9% vinegar

Instead of hydrogen peroxide, you can use regular table vinegar (no more than 9%). You need to wet the stain with vinegar 30 minutes before washing, then rinse the item in cold water and put it in the washing machine.

Solvent, acetone or gasoline

When using substances such as thinner, petrol and acetone, care must be taken as not all fabrics can withstand their effects.

This method should only be used if you are confident that your clothes will withstand the effects of the listed compounds. Apply the product to the contaminated area 20 minutes before washing and then rinse the clothes thoroughly to remove the unpleasant odor.
