An old stump on a plot can cause a lot of trouble for every summer resident. To get rid of it, many use mechanical means. But is this the right decision?
It is much more logical to use ordinary salt, which will allow you to get rid of the stump in a short time.
How to Get Rid of a Stump with Salt
The stump removal method is as follows.
1. You need to use regular salt without any additives. Regular kitchen salt will do the job just fine.
2. You need to make holes in the stump. It is better to use a drill with a large drill bit for this. If you do not have a special tool, you can try to make a hole using a regular axe. The hole should not be too big.
3. The number of holes directly depends on the size of the stump.
4. Next, these holes need to be filled with salt by three-quarters. There is no particular sense in filling them “to the brim”.
5. Finally, you need to close the hole tightly. To do this, you can melt the candle to get wax. Of course, you can use other materials to close the hole.
After this, you need to cover the stump with plastic film.
It is important that it is not exposed to sunlight or water.
After a few months it will begin to actively decompose, so it will be very easy to remove.
The only downside to this method is that you will have to wait several months.
