If you come home and discover that the jeans you bought in the store are too big in the waist and hips, don't be upset.
Even without much experience in housekeeping, you can cope with the procedure of reducing jeans on your own - after all, all you need to do is wash them.
Let's make it clear right away: washing as a method of reduction is suitable only for products made from natural fabrics - the composition must contain at least 70-80% cotton.
If the jeans are strong and thick, then you don’t need to worry about their integrity, but for clothes with synthetic “inclusions”, such a procedure can completely ruin them.
To shrink your jeans one size, follow these steps.
Soak the jeans in very hot water for 20-30 minutes. Important: you should act with all your usual care so as not to accidentally burn yourself.
After this, rinse the denim pants in very cold water. This temperature contrast will help achieve the desired effect, so continue moving the item from cold to hot water – this should be done several times.
If time allows, you can even soak the item overnight in cold water and wash it in hot water in the morning.
All that remains is to squeeze out the jeans thoroughly and dry them on a horizontal surface.
