Most people start cutting bread from the edge, gradually moving from the crust to the middle of the loaf.
However, this approach, oddly enough, is wrong.
A newly purchased loaf should be cut in half. The first slices should be "taken" from the middle. The crusts are the last thing a gourmet should get.
Why follow this strategy? There is a non-obvious, but quite simple explanation.

By cutting the bread in half and cutting off several slices from one of the halves, the cook will still be able to “join” the remaining edges.
In this form, the bakery product should be placed in the bread bin.
This storage option is good because the cut does not remain open. As a result, the product stays fresh longer.
Bread, the halves of which are connected, will definitely not go stale anytime soon. It will remain soft for a long time.
