Many people do not use microwave ovens because they consider this type of cooking device to be harmful.
For example, many people think that microwaves destroy the nutrients in food and that breakfast loses its properties.
Fortunately, this is just a myth, as the nutrients are not destroyed by microwaves, but by high temperatures over a long period of time.
Let's dispel a few more myths.
What myths "haunt" the microwave oven
Here are some examples.
- It is harmful to look at a working microwave. For this process to be truly harmful, you need to look at it while it is working with the door open, which is impossible.
- Microwaved water kills plants. Flowers don't care what kind of water you water them with.
- Destruction of food DNA. The stomach doesn't care what DNA code the tomato had.
- Dangerous for pacemakers. It is enough to be at a distance of 15 cm from the working stove.
- Harmful radiation. The oven is not capable of producing gamma or X-ray radiation.
