Freezing is a reliable method for preserving the beneficial properties of food products.
This applies to a greater extent to fruits or vegetables picked from the garden or bought in the store.
It should be remembered that you can store foods that have previously undergone heat treatment, such as mushrooms, in the freezer.
Dairy products, pastries and juices are suitable for freezing.
How to Properly Freeze and Store Certain Foods
Here are some tips.
- It is better to wash fruits and vegetables and let the water drain - they can be frozen fresh, boiled or stewed.
- It is recommended to freeze garlic unpeeled and wrapped in foil – this way it can last for several months.
- Grate the beetroot and place it in plastic bags.
- Separate the cauliflower into florets, boil for a few minutes, drain and place in the freezer.
