If there are traces of rust on your clothes, don't put off washing them. Over time, the stains will be harder to remove.
When cleaning, do not use chlorine-based products or plumbing solutions. In this case, there is a risk of only ruining things.
As for expensive and delicate fabrics, it is better to take them to the dry cleaners.
How to remove rust from white clothes
In such a situation, it is relevant to use citric acid.
For a glass of water you need to take only one tablespoon of citric acid.
The product must be heated to 50 degrees. The item must be dipped into this solution for 20 minutes.
Then you need to rinse the clothes in cold water with a few drops of ammonia added.
You can also remove rust using vinegar.
It is enough to take just 2 tablespoons of 70% vinegar essence per glass of water.
In a warm solution (60 degrees) it is necessary to soak things for five minutes. Afterwards you can rinse the wardrobe items with the addition of ammonia.
You can also get rid of the problem with hydrogen peroxide. Just apply the solution directly to the stain, and after an hour, put the item in the washing machine. If the stains are serious, you can add a little baking soda to the peroxide.
